With the proposed Federal Battery Rebate launching from 1 July 2025 if the program is rolled out, your business could access 9.3 STCs per kWh off your battery system, capped at the first 50kWh. Applicable to systems with up to a 100kWh battery.
Here’s what that could look like in dollar terms:
- $20,000 system → rebate of $6,100
- $60,000 system → rebate of $18,500
- Systems up to 100kWh are eligible

Remember:
- There is one federal government rebate available per property
- The batteries will need to have been approved by the Clean Energy Council and installers must have appropriate battery installation accreditation (RedEarth Troppo batteries are eligible)
- Solar batteries must be capable of connecting to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP), again making our systems with our proprietary PPP option a great choice; despite this requirement, off-grid systems are still eligible
- Expand your current system: Owners of existing battery systems will be able to add capacity within the above constraints or install an additional battery and still be eligible
